The Tooth

With nothing lined up for
the weekend, I helped out a fellow climber, Monique, lead a small
group up the Tooth on Saturday. Having done it numerous times
prior, I thought it would make for a short and fun day. It was
not until afterwards that I recalled why exactly we avoid this peak
on weekends - it is often crowded. With a team from the
Boealps (Boeing Alpine Club) in front of us, our day ended at
8:00pm.

Source Lake on an overcast morning. The possibility of rain looms.

View up to the Tooth (high peak on right)

Fringed Grass-of-Parnassus? At least that would be my guess from what I researched.
I didn't even realize the beauty of this flower until I took a closer look.

The upper basin is filled with talus, bolders, rubble, scree, etc.

To think I signed up for this kind of fun?

Umm, bluebell? Actually this is a Harebell.

This is Lee en route. I didn't take any pictures after this one.
